THE VISION OF THE JOB:Each good is different, as is the client. A home-stager should be interested in housing and he must dedicate himself completely to the good as if it were his own.Don’t forget that the home-stager is a service provider whose mission is to help the client to make the deal. Respecting the client is our top priority.
The best advice I can give a person wanting to integrate home staging: The job of a home stager, as other jobs, requires a great humility, because nothing is taken for granted. We must assess ourselves regularly, analyse, foresee, be approachable, in order to have the awaited result. THE JOB: some traps to avoid. Home staging is not only to stage a house, but make the difference between a good which can be sold quick thanks to home staging and another one, which is going to be slower to sell for different reasons. Indeed, we must take into account the environment, the cost estimate, the market, and the general state of the good. A complete estimate of the good will be made with the client. Home staging is also being able to refuse to stage a house. Home staging is a real job, with rules, with norms and professionalism. Besides, I am furious when I read on some forums that anybody can become a home stager.
